It's Decision Time
Hi everyone. This is a long message!!!
Thanks, first of all to all those who have booked tickets for Sing for Ukraine #2
With ten days to go before the date scheduled for I find myself with a very difficult decision to make.
At the same stage before the first concert, I had sold 132 tickets out of 220 and on the night that was boosted by about another 30+ people turning up unannounced and paying on the door. With all the musicians as well, we had a packed hall for the concert.
As it stands today, I have only sold 34 tickets for the concert on 3rd March.
I can’t, in conscience, ask upwards of 20 performers to come and provide entertainment for a crowd that barely outnumbers them. Added to that, the staff at the Ukrainian Cultural Centre would also be giving their time for nothing.
So here is my problem. 34 ticket holder + 20 musicians = 74 people in a hall that seats 220, I just don’t see that working.
I will wait just a couple more days to see if there is a late surge but, if, by Friday evening, I haven’t reached a figure closer to 100 sales I will have to cancel the concert.
You can help by sharing the information below and encouraging your own circle of friends and family to buy tickets (and I know many of you have already done that). Social media is a powerful tool but likes and shares alone don’t sell tickets, please be as proactive as you can, the people of Ukraine are waiting for assistance.
If anyone has any bright ideas of ways to increase sales QUICKLY I’d love hear from you.
Here’s hoping to see a lot of smiling faces in ten days’ time. We need to fill the hall with love and music. Please share.
