In this Peterloo bicentenary year I am please to announce an event to be held at The Irish World Heritage Centre in Manchester.
Between now and Wednesday 8th May, in the foyer of the Irish World Heritage Centre, Queen's Road, Manchester there will be an exhibition about Peterloo, with a focus on the Irish involvement and showing some of the archive material from the Peterloo Memorial Campaign Group
On Wednesday 8th at 7pm there will be an evening of talks and films about The Irish and Peterloo
This free event will highlight the involvement of Manchester's Irish population with The Peterloo Massacre and also identify routes to discovering modern day descendants of those who were there.
There will be 2 speakers and a number of short video presentations.
Musicians are welcome to join us and there will be a free session after the main event.
