We are excited to announce that there will soon be a number of new publications arriving in The Corner Shop.

The first is a fully revised, updated and enlarged version of 'From The Green' a modest booklet which first appeared in the mid eighties, produced by members of the Local History Group based at Crumpsall Lane School. The new version will have more illustrations and maps and will go into much greater detail about this corner of Crumpsall.

It will be re-titled to reflect the fact that it will now be the first in a series of books to be produced in the coming months. Each will describe landmarks on a walking route starting and finishing at 'The Green' in Crumpsall.

Further volumes will deal with other areas such as;

Crumpsall Lane, Middleton Road, Bennett Road St Mary's Hall Road, Rectory Road.

Station Road, Seymour Road, Cheetham Hill Road as far as Thomas Street and return via Lansdowne Road.

Ashtree Road, Moss Bank, Crescent Road and the Hospital Approach.

Crumpsall Park, Delauney's Road, Cleveland Road.
