I've been playing with a message board on the website, but it doesn't look quite right, wherever I put it, so instead, I've changed the 'CONTACT' heading on the menu so it now reads 'Leave a Comment' I'd love to hear your comments and suggestions about the website - the design the content etc. so please go to the comments page and drop me a line. I promise to listen to your ideas - this will help to shape the future of the website. Right, who's going to be first???

THE COUNTDOWN HAS STARTED.

The second ROOTS IN MANCHESTER concert date has been set for Saturday 10th June So far, three acts are confirmed as definite - Musaic, Mike Billington and Bunting & Frolics. Each act has a short biographical description and a link to sample videos. (Further information will be added as other acts are confirmed.) OH WHAT A NIGHT!

I am delighted to report that ROOTS IN MANCHESTER' was a resounding success! The performers and audience alike all agreed that the venue was comfortable, welcoming, acoustically great and in all respects ideal for the music on offer. Geoff Higginbottom provided us with wit and wisdom and a great variety of songs. Pete Robinson (sole survivor of The Mather-Robinson Band on this occasion) gave us some great songs and stories accompanied, as always, by superb mandola playing. The Ukrainian Black sea Cossacks brought a flavour of Ukraine to the proceedings (as well as a wonderful dance by Grandma and Grandad!) Stanley Accrington was - well - Stanley Accrington.
